First, yes I am fully aware of the humour that exists in the title of the project. I listened to Blink 182 in high school, too. Let's move on.

In March of 2016, I asked my social networks, "If you had to title your life story (up to this point), what would it be called?" A slew of responses came in, and the covers you see are the result of creating a new jacket every day for the respondents.

Creating a book jacket is not a single-day process. There are manuscripts and sketches and iteration after iteration. I've made jackets in the past. It's a lot of work (and reading). This is just one of those "graphic designer wants attention / loves designing book covers" kind of projects.

I'll just take a second and honour those that came before me (because I'm sure there's some ape-ing involved with the work presented here): Peter Mendelsund, Paul Sahre, Chip Kidd, Coralie Bickford-Smith and John Gall.

You can submit your life story title here. If you hold copyrights to any of the images I've blatantly stolen, you can get in touch with me here. Any other inquiries? Same address.

* A small caveat. I've received notes from actual authors requesting they use the artwork from this personal project of mine to adorn their actual memoirs. In response, I ask that you view this talk by the estimable Mike Monteiro.
